These photographs taken by my son Tom will make you feel like you are a part of Wyoming.

Oxbow Bend is near Jackson Lake Dam and the river emerges from that lake.
The light is excellent and the Tetons are reflective in the river,

and the water in calm let the reflection of the mountain looks quite vivid.

Between the summit and plain, forests carpet the mountainsides.

The Grand Teton rises to 13,770 feet above sea level.

When the earth’s crust cracked along a fault millions of years ago,

the Tetons rose into the sky.

It is when the exposed crystalline rocks give these mountains theirs dramatic appearance in any season.

The mountain was named after the Teton Sloux tribe of Nature Americans.
